ABOUT THE RETREAT
The Essence of Prayer

According to Sr. Ruth Burrows, Prayer is a Journey into God, in and through the Sacred Heart of Jesus. (Only in this way can we become a full human being.) Are you hungry and thirsting for deeper prayer, AND ready to do what it takes? Then this retreat may be for you. Pray and see if the Lord is inviting you. Be prepared to be challenged and blessed!
The four talks will explore these four areas:

Prayer is always a RESPONSE to God: the only and hardest requirement is "naked faith."

"Come to me!" Walk on water! And stop trying. Stop resisting. Let me embrace you! (For all of us, SURRENDER is most difficult).

PRAYER AS SILENCE AND SOLITUDE: The way of becoming fully human. The Paradox: Silence is the language of Love. Solitude expands our capacity to share deeply.

The Need for Sustained Passion for Knowledge and Love. Prayer will deepen our knowledge and purify our love. We are in it for the long haul every day. Passion and endurance must be our daily bread. It is the total and daily surrender in Christ to God our Father.

The required donation for this retreat is $275.
It includes lodging, meals, and program materials.
A deposit of $100 is required
at the time of registration.
The remaining difference ($175)
must be paid upon arrival at the Retreat House.
